Quite honestly Ryde didn’t have an excuse for being so out of it- rather the librarian was simply lost in remarkably unimportant thoughts when he collided with the slightly shorter girl. Stumbling backwards he fumbles with the several books he was charged with transporting from a donor to the library- the various hardcover editions scattering to the pavement.

Shit!” He exclaims without thinking and earning several cold glares from passing by parents. Worried eyes flick between the books and Asada; Ryde was completely unsure of which to take care of first. After a beat he decides that the stranger was probably of more concern. His expression apologetic and tone worried, he speaks up.

I’m so sorry, that was like one hundred percent my fault.” He bends down to begin picking up the books. “Are you alright? That felt like I really ran into you there.

A deep frown adorned the younger’s features as she
stared at him. His hesitation did worry her a slight, but it wasn’t
much of her concern. After what seemed like minutes, she stood,
brushing down her coat and skirt, suddenly a tad embarrassed,
especially hearing his apology.

   “ It’s not your fault, I promise. “

She bent, picking up a couple of the books into her arms and handing them back to him. Asada looked at him, for the first time really looked at him, taking in his features and wide eyes. Seemed nice enough, and her first thought she said aloud, surprised her immensely.

“ Do you want me to help you carry these ? “

Asada was never one for really helping a stranger, but it seemed cruel to watch him go carrying all these books himself when he was clearly so disorientated. ( but then again, it wasn’t as if she wasn’t out of touch with reality as well. )

Sometimes, being logged out of a game felt weird for Asada. She was so used to being in game that the real world was just odd for her. Probably because she spent most of her time in virtual reality. When she wasn’t at school, or studying, she was always with her online guild – or with them in real life. This left her somewhat disorientated some of the time.

Soft hands ran over the wrinkled post it note she had in her hand. It was that time of week when she needed to get groceries for herself. She usually never had a problem with it, but for some reason today she felt extremely lightheaded, and felt like she was dissociating.

Colliding face first ( as face first as she could get, considering her height ) into some one else made her zone back into reality. Grey hues widened as she took a step back, bowing quickly.

    “ Sorry ! “
